Off we go again

This week has been the end of our little summer break back at home. Even though we’ve had the chance to take a holiday, we’ve been busy, mostly doing light physical work-outs to help us prepare for some hardcore training looming right around the corner. Plus, we’ve also had some good progression with our Perth campaign. Last week, we finalised a deal with Malta International Airport! MIA have confirmed that they will be supporting our bid to qualify Malta for the games by sponsoring our training programme in the lead up to the Olympic Qualifiers in Perth, Australia this December. Very good news.

Today, we fly to the UK and we have a very busy week ahead of us. We plan to pick up our newly modified trailer and RIB from the Isle of Wight. Then we drive some 500km up to Newcastle to pick up our 49er which has been undergoing some repairs at the Ovington factory. With the 49er and RIB in tow, we’ll be making the long drive from Newcastle to Warnemünde via Dover, a 1500km journey. The plan is to get to Warnemünde by the 4th Sept to get ready for 10 days of intense training with the German Olympic team.
